Overview
Pare & Co is an AI-native digital consultancy, formed from Oomph and Adapt USA, that builds websites, platforms, and digital products for organizations in complex, high-stakes environments: healthcare, education, public and social impact, associations, and enterprise technology. Its business units each carry their own clients and their own pipeline, and that pipeline never arrives in an even rhythm.
Blue Drop Labs is the team behind those teams. We provide team members to Pare's business units from all three Blue Drop practices: design, which covers UX design and research and UI and graphic design; development, which covers technical leadership, software engineering, QA support, and project management; and AI, when a project calls for it. Pare scales the people on each project up and down as the work demands, and Blue Drop makes that possible without Pare carrying a bench between engagements.
How the partnership works
Most agency partnerships are a subcontract: one scope, one statement of work, one handoff. Ours with Pare is closer to a shared bench. When a Pare business unit wins a project, it pulls in the Blue Drop people that project needs, whether that is a technical lead to shape the architecture, a UX researcher for discovery, a designer for the interface, engineers for the build, QA for the release, or a project manager to run it. When the project ships, those people roll off, and the business unit is not carrying their cost while it waits for the next one.
Because the same team returns project after project, there is no ramp-up. Our people know Pare's tools, its standards, and its clients' expectations, and they work under Pare's banner as part of Pare's team. For a consultancy whose demand moves in waves, that is the difference between staffing for the peak and staffing for the work.
Little Trees: implementing a redesign on Drupal
Little Trees is one of the most recognizable brands in the world, and its site runs on Drupal. Pare led the redesign; Blue Drop implemented it. That meant translating the new design into a Drupal theme and component library, rebuilding the templates behind product, fragrance, and brand pages, and keeping the editorial workflow the Little Trees team already knew intact underneath a new front end.
Redesigns on an existing CMS succeed or fail on the implementation. The build has to honor the design exactly, protect the content and URLs that carry the brand's search equity, and ship without a content freeze the marketing team cannot afford. Our engineers carried that build alongside Pare's designers and account team.

Winebow Trade Tools: technical consulting, design, and development
Winebow is a national importer and distributor of fine wine and spirits, and Trade Tools is the internal application its sales and trade teams rely on day to day. With Pare, Blue Drop provided the technical consulting that shaped the application's architecture, the web design for its interface, and the development that delivered it, working as part of the Pare business unit that owns the Winebow relationship.
Trade Tools brings four jobs into one place for the sales team:
- A digital asset manager for the brand imagery, sell sheets, and logos the field uses every day.
- A storefront for ordering physical items and shipping them to Winebow locations.
- Creative services requests, so the sales team can submit, track, and manage work with the creative team instead of chasing it by email.
- A digital catalog of every brand and product in the Winebow portfolio.
Under the hood it is a Drupal back end serving a Next.js front end, with single sign-on through Microsoft Entra so employees sign in with the Winebow account they already have. Internal tools are unforgiving: the people who use them use them all day, and every extra click compounds. The work here was as much about understanding how Winebow's trade teams actually work as about building screens, which is why the engagement drew on UX research and technical leadership together rather than engineering alone.

SEMA Garage: redesign, content strategy, and development
SEMA Garage is the Specialty Equipment Market Association's technology and product-development resource for automotive aftermarket manufacturers, from vehicle measuring and tech transfer to emissions certification. Blue Drop team members joined Pare for the redesign, the content strategy that reorganized a dense catalog of programs and services around what a manufacturer is actually trying to do, and the development that brought the new site live on Astro and Cloudflare.
This is the project that used the widest slice of the bench: research and content strategy up front, UI design through the middle, engineering and QA to launch, and project management throughout, all scaled in and out as each phase needed.

Why it works for Pare
A consultancy sells outcomes, and outcomes need the right people at the right moment. Carrying every practice on payroll means paying for capacity that sits idle between projects; hiring contractors one at a time means onboarding strangers to every engagement. The partnership with Blue Drop gives Pare a third option: a team it already knows, across the design, development, and AI practices a digital project needs, that expands and contracts with the pipeline.
We work this way with several agencies. Pare brings the client relationship, the strategy, and the accountability for the outcome; we bring the people, the craft, and the flexibility to size the team to the work.
